As part of the SmartStart programme BBIC will be hosting a regular series of open days where you will be able to discuss your ideas and plans with the Smart Start coaching team.

The Smart Start programme itself includes, in addition to one-to one coaching sessions, a series of workshops designed to help you to determine whether starting your own business is right for you or to help you to prepare to launch your own business.

The workshop programme consists of informal group sessions where you will be provided with information designed to raise your awareness of all of the aspects of owning and managing a business and providing you with an understanding of what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.

The workshop series will run regularly throughout the year and will include workshops on:

• Business Essentials
• Creating a Successful Business
• Promoting Your Business
• Money Matters
• Effective Selling

The next cycle of workshops is due to commence in June 2013.  To be able to participate in the SmartStart workshops you will need to register and be accepted onto the programme. Find out what’s involved.

The Genesis programme includes a series of business development workshops which have been designed to help accelerate business growth. The workshops are intended to provide a good understanding and insights into the key ingredients of a successful business.

The programme includes specific development sessions on:

• Business Planning and Strategic Development
• Financial Management
• Marketing and Promotions
• Sales

In addition to the development workshops, the Genesis programme provides opportunities to network with professional advisors and like-minded businesses along with, subject to demand, business surgeries on professional and technical subjects.
