Genesis Programme

The GENESIS programme aims to accelerate the development and growth of innovative technology and/or knowledge based businesses here in Barnsley.
Eligible businesses are expected to be able to demonstrate growth potential, and operate on a B2B level based in Barnsley and continue to operate from Barnsley beyond the programme timescale.
The GENESIS programme is managed by BBIC and is free to eligible businesses and provides intensive support to participants for up to 12 months. If accepted onto the programme, you will benefit from:
- A dedicated business coach and access to specialist coaching
- Participation in business development workshops and network events
- Management accounting and technical support services
- A range of accommodation for start up and early stage businesses, available on various easy in, easy out terms and at various locations in the Borough
